YC Alberta 2008 Media Policy
- Your coverage is important to us and we thank you for your interest. We are happy to provide all responsible media representatives with media credentials
- Our policy is to accommodate your needs without infringing on the essential
aspects and process of YC Alberta 2008. We know you have a job to do and will extend you all reasonable access and courtesy. We require that you comply with our policies for the location you are working.
- No audio recordings of concerts or session are permitted without prior approval from the YC Alberta 2008 Office.
- A performer may only be filmed for 30 seconds without permission. Filming for more than 30 seconds requires permission from the Media Coordinator
- Photographing performers may be done during the first three songs of any set.
- The media relations staff may contact journalists who were granted credentials after the conference to request clippings or other evidence of coverage
- Submission of completed media credential request form does not ensure approval for media credentials. All requests will be reviewed and must be approved by the YC Alberta Office.
- YC Alberta 2008 and its media coordinator reserve the right to deny media credentials to individuals who abuse the privilege or obtain credentials under false pretenses.
- All credentials are non-transferable and any unauthorized use will subject the bearer to removal from the premises and confiscation of credentials.
- Media will not be issued backstage passes. If backstage passes are required please submit a request with a detailed reason.
- Once media credentials have been approved a letter of confirmation and additional information regarding the weekend will be sent out. In addition to this the YC Alberta media coordinator will acknowledge all interviews and specific requests and the media team will attempt to accommodate these on site.
