details : general information
Ministry Moments - Following each service, an opportunity for prayer will be given. There will be a New Believers Class available for those who accept Christ on this weekend. Members of a specially selected and prepared ministry team will give oversight and leadership to this class.
Rexall Place Area Courtesy - Out of courtesy to other YC Alberta registrants, we ask that you refrain from speaking loudly or participating in activities that may be disruptive during speaking or concert sessions. We will have YC Alberta hosts and Security on duty during these times to keep distractions to a minimum. Any person who is seen exhibiting behavior dangerous to themselves, or to others, will be removed from Rexall Place.
Rexall Place is used for the sole purpose of participating in worship sessions and attending concerts and speaking sessions. This area is not to be used for recreational purposes directly prior to, or during any scheduled YC Alberta event.
Please do not bring any outside food into Rexall Place.
Dress Modesty and consideration of others is the underlying principle here. This goes for all areas of behavior. Guys are to wear pants or shorts of reasonable length, and shirts or T-shirts. Girls are to wear pants or shorts of reasonable length, and T-shirts (no tube, halter, or other immodest tops). Please have your group members bring APPROPRIATE clothing. Many varied Christian backgrounds are represented at this event. You will want your group to be a blessing rather than a stumbling block. Let Romans 14:13-19 be a guide.
Exhibit Booths - Many ministry organizations host booths on the YC Alberta weekend. Drop by and chat about what God is doing in and through their ministries. We reserve the right to reject any exhibitor, item or literature. (Note: The only organizations allowed to distribute materials are those operating booths. No other material is to be distributed, sold, or posted on the grounds or parking areas unless cleared by the YC Alberta Office prior to YC Alberta 2008.) If you are interested in obtaining information on fees and guidelines for hosting a booth at the event, contact our office,(780)424-YCYC or go to the exhibit section.
First Aid - A trained First Aid staff will be on-site to handle minor medical problems. There is not a sick bay available and it will be the responsibility of the chaperone to provide for sick delegates.
YC Alberta General Store - The YC Alberta General Store will feature a full supply of books, music and a great selection of YC Gear. Don't forget to bring spending money!
YC Alberta Hosts - YC Alberta hosts will be on duty during the General Session and Concerts to assist in seating, keeping aisles clear and making sure that YC Alberta 2008 is safe and enjoyable for everyone. Please feel free to ask them for assistance and respect them by abiding by their instructions.
Safety - As YC Alberta 2008 is held on private property, we will enforce our policies for the safety of all attendees. Firearms, weapons (fake or otherwise), paint ball guns, alcohol and drugs will not be allowed, at any time, at Rexall Place and the surrounding areas. All offenders will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
For obvious reasons, bikes, rollerskates, rollerblades, skateboards, water balloons, and related devices are not allowed during the event. Hackey sack and other related activities must be kept outside. For the safety of others attending, violation could result in confiscation of property and/or individuals being asked to leave the grounds.
Security - The grounds are patrolled by both the City of Edmonton Police and the YC Alberta 2008 security team. It is our desire to maintain the highest level of ethics and standards in relationship to conduct and ministry during the event. Our guidelines are set for the benefit of everyone who attends. All YC Alberta participants are expected to cooperate with our policies, staff and security. Failure to work in cooperation with personnel could result in individuals being asked to leave the event.
Video Taping - Video camcorders and/or tape recorders will not be allowed into Rexall Place during General Sessions and Concerts. Contractual and copyright restrictions prevent the recording of concerts and musical portions of sessions at YC Alberta. Northlands Park and Extreme Dream Ministries are obligated to enforce these policies.
Still picture and video cameras will be allowed into the venues for you to record your group's YC Alberta experience, but will be confiscated for the duration of the event if they are used to record any portion of a concert or other musical performance.
