January

Read all the material that is sent to you. The more you know about what will be happening at YC Alberta 2008 and why, the better you can inform others.
Familiarize yourself with the YC Alberta website, especially the registration section.
Share the Vision.
Show the YC Alberta 2008 Promo Video to your youth and young adults.
Distribute the YC Alberta 2008 brochures.
Hang the YC Alberta 2008 poster in highly visible areas.
Get help! Appoint a transportation coordinator, fundraising director and an YC Alberta 2008 accountant.
Outline your fundraising strategy. Choose at least one fundraiser for every month (see website for ideas).
Determine transportation to and from YC Alberta 2008.
Determine how much you need to save per week to get all of your delegates to YC Alberta 2008. Don't forget to raise $$$ for chaperones too!
Here's a thought - "meals on wheels". Prepare your lunches to eat on the bus to save some $.
Make hotel reservations. Go to the Hotel Guide Section for a list of hotels with rooms blocked for YC Alberta 2008.
Determine who will be your group chaperones. We strongly suggest a ratio of 7 youth to one adult or young adult.
Ask your senior pastor to announce YC Alberta 2008 periodically. He could also announce you and let you make the announcement.

Set goals…. "We're bringing 100 youth to YC Alberta 2008!"
Have a registration table set up in the church foyer or in other meeting places and register after the services.
Make telephone calls. Some people need to be given a personal invitation. You can do it... we can't. Many people are hurting and hiding. Sometimes you need a reason to call students.

March Fundraiser(s)
Take advantage of the Earlybird ($115) registration. Registration opens Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 10:00am MST.
Keep the vision before the youth…. Repetition with variety is the key to enthusiasm.
Challenge new youth to join the gang who are already on their way to YC Alberta 2008.

April

Remember the earlybird ($115) registration deadline is on April 2, 2008. Any registrations after this will be regular ($130) registrations.
April Fundraiser(s)
Compile a final details package for all YC Alberta 2008 delegates and their parents. Include information on money matters, attire, advice, and rules (See the General Information Section).
Schedule an YC Alberta 2008 testimony/church service for the middle of June.
Remember the Regular ($130) registration deadline is on April 23, 2008 Any registration after this will be Late ($145) registrations.

May

Send in any remaining registration by May 9, 2007. After May 9 you must register on site or online.
Give parents a way to contact you in an emergency. Let them know where you are staying with the phone number. You should also have a list of how to get in touch with parents over the weekend in case of an emergency.
On site registration begins at 3:00pm on May 23, 2008 at the Northlands Rexall Place South Box office.
Plan follow-up activities with youth who attended YC Alberta 2008.
